Our team of internationally acclaimed musicians brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and dedication, ensuring that every student and audience member experiences the transformative power of music.

Orlando Bonzi

Orlando Bonzi, an Italian-Paraguayan guitarist known for his unique style and deep musicality, has become a prominent virtuoso in Europe. With a diverse musical background, he has performed across genres including jazz, rock, funk, Latin, Brazilian music, fusion, pop, blues, South American folklore, and R&B. His international career has taken him to different places around the globe including Paraguay, Brazil, New York, Argentina, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam and the UK.

In 1999, Orlando released his first album, Mi Inspiración, which gained significant airplay in Paraguay. His time in Brazil, where he collaborated with renowned musicians such as Filó Marchado, Marcelo Mariano, and Guilherme Rondon, was pivotal in his musical growth. His contribution to Rondon’s album Made in Pantanal was widely acclaimed.

Orlando’s 2013 album Recurso Natural featured iconic Brazilian musicians and reflected his deep connection to nature and divine love, much of it composed in the Brazilian Pantanal. In 2014, he moved to Spain, where he recorded an original album with world famous Jazz musicians such as Jeff Ballard, Gary Willis, Perico Sambeat etc., blending modern jazz with South American and Southern European folk influences. The album is available on Spotify and iTunes.

Orlando Bonzi, winner of the rhythm/accompaniment award at the 2018 Lee Ritenour Guitar Competition, co-founded Music & Life London with his wife in 2024. Based in Pinner, NW London, the business offers live music performances, music lessons, workshops, and a boutique shop for string instrument sales and maintenance. Orlando is committed to creating a supportive and motivating learning atmosphere while assisting students in developing their guitar and bass talents. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and passion. He also has a strong interest in helping up-and-coming bands and giving children a platform to enjoy top-notch live music at the Sunday afternoon Live Jazz concert.

Yanice Bonzi

A dynamic and multifaceted musician, the Hong Kong-born violinist, composer, pianist, arranger, singer, and songwriter has captivated audiences worldwide with her unique sound and impressive versatility. Trained in classical music from the age of 4, she went on to earn a Master’s degree in Contemporary Performance and Music Production from Berklee College of Music, awarded through a prestigious scholarship.

 

Her career skyrocketed as a violinist, beginning with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra before she became renowned for her special violin voice, blending classical precision with a pop-infused vibrancy. She has collaborated with iconic artists like Robin Gibb, Laura Fygi, G.E.M., Paula Chui, Jenny Tseng, and the legendary Jacky Cheung. Touring internationally with Jacky Cheung, she performed at world-class venues such as Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Air Canada Centre in Toronto, leaving audiences mesmerized by her distinctive violin voice.

 

With over two decades of experience, she has led a diverse range of ensembles, including a classical string quartet, jazz band, acoustic duo, and string orchestra, performing at high-profile events, major concerts, and elegant weddings. She also represented Hong Kong to play electric violin with a Polish electric violinist at World Trade Exhibition in Warsaw, Poland. Besides, she has graced the stage for renowned brands like BMW, Rolls Royce, Chanel, YSL, and Dior, while also performing for key events, including the Queen's Birthday Party for Prince Edward and the recent coronation celebration hosted by The British Consulate-General.

 

Passionate about sharing her expertise, she is also a certified Suzuki Method teacher, inspiring and nurturing the next generation of musicians. With a career defined by bold performances, creative collaborations, and an unwavering dedication to music, she continues to break new ground in the world of contemporary violin. In 2024, she co-founded Music & Life with her husband, with the vision of a music hub serving the community and enrich the lives of people at all ages through music.

Catherine Chen Wang

Catherine, a Master of Music graduate from the Royal Academy of Music, has performed prominent opera roles, including Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, and Liu in Turandot. She has performed across the UK and Europe in prestigious venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall, and St. John’s Smith Square.

As the Founder and Director of the Divine Melody Choir, formed by Chinese students and young professionals, Catherine also serves as Music Director for the Mandarin Youth Voice Choir. She was featured on BBC1’s Songs of Praise and appeared on Channel 4’s How Music Works. In 2023, she received the Chinese Woman of the Year – Art and Media Award from UKCWC. Catherine is a judge for the Global Cultures of China Water Cube Cup and has coached award-winning students. In May 2024, her choir performed at the Royal Albert Hall.

As an experienced vocal coach, Catherine helps students find their own voice and maintain vocal health with practical exercises. Her lessons are encouraging and effective, fostering vocal development in a supportive environment.

A passionate advocate for charity, Catherine has organized over 60 fundraising concerts across Europe, supporting causes such as Compassion UK and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. She also organised charity concerts for NHS Charities Together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
